‘The virus…you’re responsible.’ That’s what I hear Arno say.
While Leandré and Saloni were being amused by rapper, Marcus’ attempts to introduce himself, Darren had jumped the gate into the Arderne Gardens, looking for a place to unwind. There, unexpectedly (but, he admits, inevitably) he met Arno who commanded him, “Walk with me.”
Darren had taken over, had sidelined Marcus (du-rag) with an accidental-on-purpose blow to the head, and has performed an amazing solo. The crowd loved it, but now they’re not sure what he wants them to do.
Darren – even though he thinks of himself as a philosophical guy – had lost it: rapper du-rag had butted into his solo, was eyeing his sister, brown-nosing Pastor Arendse, and riding the adulation of the crowd – in the auditorium, and online. Darren has decided it’s time to show him how to play real music.
Pastor Arendse was wearing a compromise kit: bug-eyed, deep-focus stereoptics along with haptic gloves and boots. And surgical mask – because of the virus. He was on a private channel, talking to a giant neon-yellow banana.
